GraceNote Music School is devoted to fostering a love of both playing and performing music. Learning an instrument instills a sense of accomplishment and promotes creativity.
I use the Suzuki and the Alfred piano methods in conjuction with additional music theory and composition techniques. The Suzuki method is fantastic for learning classicial technique and the Alfred method stresses note reading and music theory. GraceNote utilizes both of these methods according to the needs of the student, leading to a well-rounded curriculum tailored to each individual.
Private lessons include one-on-one instruction in technique, theory, and musicianship. Students will receive focused attention and learn basic compositional techniques.
Semi-Private Lessons are for two or three students at a time. Students will rotate instruction time, learning their instrument while other students work on music theory and note-reading exercises. Students will learn to perform in duets and in group pieces.
GraceNote holds two recitals per year; one in winter and one in spring. Dates and times are announced through email.
